Hey friends. Have moved from a place with fibre to one with DSL. I bought a BT-RJ11 cable, which fits in the socket of the Fritz modem, but the socket looks like an RJ45. It's a 7390 modem. Suffice to say the DSL isn't working, but it's not clear whether the cabling of the house is busted (ex-rental, been sitting vacant for a year at least 30 different tradespeople working on it over the last six months), or whether I've been an idiot and got the wrong cable :) So. Should the BT-RJ11 cable work, or do I need a different one? If I need a different one, what kind? I can't find an RJ45->RJ11 on cablesdirect. The cable I bought on cablesdirect is product code C-BTRJ11-5 (a clever parsing will reveal this is a 5M BT to RJ11 cable :) ). Thanks :)
